ABOUT EBENEZER

REACHING OUT TO DRAW OTHERS TO CHRIST

WORDS FROM PASTOR PAUL AEBISCHER

GREETING MESSAGE

Welcome to our website! I pray that the digital platform will give you a glimpse of this compassionate, engaging and faithful congregation! I am Pastor Paul Aebischer, and I’ve served Ebenezer Lutheran as Pastor since 2018. I love helping people connect with the Biblical story, and to find their own stories within God’s story! In my spare time I play guitar, exercise, and spend precious time with my wife, Ginny, sons and daughter-in-law, Micah, Joshua, and Addie, and my granddaughter (pictured here), Rosie! Blessings on your faith journey!

Church History

ELC-28

Ebenezer is the Hebrew word meaning “Stone of Help.” (1 Samuel 7:12). This was, indeed, an appropriate name for a place of worship for the Lutherans who formed this congregation in Columbia, SC in 1830. God has blessed Ebenezer for two centuries.
